Experts Say 30% of Flooring Dealers Will Go Out of Business!

The other day I went to visit a local floor coverings dealer. He owns a beautiful show room floor and is the pride of his business. However, the look on his face was not so happy when I sat across the table from him. I could see fear in his eyes. When we spoke of his business, his hands actually started to shake since he didn’t know if he would make it this year. His sales two years ago were close to 8 million with one location. This year he is looking to do “maybe” 4 million. He swore up and down about the piece of crap general contractors that were late in paying before the housing crisis…and the horrible state of the industry…and the now he doesn’t even think about getting paid.

His exact words were…

“I’m hoping just to make enough this year just to keep the doors open!”

The fear was so strong in his voice…I felt cold inside.

Fear is a horrible thing. It eats away at you till you don’t know what to do. You know what I am talking about…the type of fear that doesn’t allow you to think straight…the type of fear that makes your whole body feel empty inside…the type of fear that strips your pride and confidence and in the end destroys your business.

This is a tough position to be in. IF you are like most flooring dealers then you’ve probably felt the same hit in your sales. I am not going to tell you stop get jobs from new construction…What I am saying is that you must have multiple ways to get new customers, jobs and you mast have multiple systems to get referrals and jobs from past customers.

What is important for you to know is that the Done For You systems we help you implement helps differentiate yourself so PAYING CUSTOMERS will…

1. Choose you over anyone else, regardless of price
2. Pay more for each job even in a bad economy (we also have a way to help you finance up to 99% of your customers for large jobs)
3. Stay so loyal that they will feel guilty shopping elsewhere and refer all their friends and family.

The good news is that there is hope…Stay tuned for more…
