Consulting
Consulting with, at last count, over 276 different customers in product/service categories including retail furniture, bedding, flooring, appliances, accessories and ATV sales. Interior design firms, remodeling, electrical, trade, and flooring installation contractors. Also, furniture, bedding and other types of manufacturers, internet marketing businesses, sales professionals, insurance brokers. Clients ranging from start-ups and small businesses that exceed $150 Million per year in sales. Areas of expertise include direct-response advertising, direct marketing, lead generation, direct-mail, newspaper advertising, internet strategy, Search Engine Optimization, high transaction value sales, sales scripts, customer experience, and increased customer loyalty.
Virtually all new client relationships begin with (at least) a day of private consultation at base rate. The day is diagnostic and prescriptive. At its conclusion, one of three things occurs: one, additional work is agreed to, on a per project basis; two, the information provided to the client was sufficient; three, if the client is in any way dissatisfied, the fee is refunded.

* There are never any hidden charges or costs.
2007 Consulting Fees:
$5,900.00 per day if site is in/near Las Vegas, Nevada, Salt Lake City, Utah, Denver, Colorado. $6,600.00 per day elsewhere in U.S., plus first class travel, roundtrip Salt Lake City, Utah and hotel accommodations.
2008 Consulting Fees:
$6,900.00 if site is in/near Las Vegas, Nevada, Salt Lake City, Utah, Denver, Colorado. $8,000.00 per day elsewhere in U.S., plus first class travel, roundtrip Salt Lake City, Utah and hotel accommodations.
COPYWRITING:
Advertising Copy For Direct Mail Letters & Newspaper Ads: $600 per page plus royalties.
Royalties range from .02 to .05 per piece mailed, in perpetuity. Clients who do very large volume mailings may negotiate a royalty buy-out.
Direct-mail, print ads, complete multi-step, multi-media campaigns, audio/video brochure scripts, teleseminar scripts, customer list cross sell campaigns, TV and radio scripts.
Fees vary, quoted per project. Typical range for a multi-step direct-mail campaign: $13,400.00 to $24,600.00, more complex multi-media campaigns up to $28,000.00. Full-page print ad: $4,600.00 to $19,400.00.
Comprehensive critiques: $600.00 per hour or refer to ‘Copy Autopsies’, later this Section.
Categories of work: Primary specialization is big ticket retail traffic and sales building advertising, mailers, information products, courses, newsletters, seminars, and coaching programs. Additional categories: insurance brokers, manufacturers, contractors/installation companies.
Instruction/Coaching:
Occasionally hired by ad agencies or corporations to conduct 1, 2 or 3 day in-house sessions, teaching and discussing copywriting techniques, critiquing actual ads and campaigns, and working with in house marketing teams. 07 Fee: $8,600.00 per day, if meeting held in/near Salt Lake City, Utah*, $9,600.00 per day if other location. 08: $9,800.00 per day, if meeting held in/near Salt Lake City, Utah*, 10,800 elsewhere.
Copy Autopsies
COPY AUTOPSY – Single Piece Or Campaign
Comprehensive, personal critique and rewrite suggestions for ad, sales letter, web site, etc. Includes complete review and analysis of piece(s), written feedback including some rewrite (entirely at my option) as warranted, followed by a 30-minute telephone consultation. $4,000.00.
COPY AUTOPSY – All Marketing Materials
Comprehensive, personal critique and rewrite suggestions for all your company’s currently used advertising and marketing materials. Includes complete review and analysis of piece(s), written feedback including some rewrite (entirely at my option) as warranted, followed by a 60-minute telephone consultation. $4,000.00 to $10,000.00.
SPEAKING
Brett and Ethan have been professionally speaking for 3 years, In 2008 only 5 engagements will be taken. Fee for speaking is $5900 plus first class airfare and hotel. (Fee may be negotiated if educational materials are sold at event.)
COACHING
